A. Samad Said is an iconic figure in Malaysian literature. Awarded the title Sasterawan Negara (poet laureate) in 1985 in recognition of his contributions to all the known genres of the written form – novels, short stories, plays, poetry.
This CLS photo was shot at the opening of an exhibition at RA Fine Arts gallery entitled "From Kuala Kangsar To ...." showcasing paintings, photography, literature and writings by the alumni and former teachers of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK).
