While shooting Winona with Vania (@surfmartian), I was sort of not quite taken with the place. But then she jog-walked over to me with a huge smile and said 'Oh my god I have something to show you! it's a word! You have to see it!' I had no idea what she was talking about. I wasn't sure she did, either.
So I followed her to this old storefront with a recessed doorway. It looked like an old drug store, maybe closed two decades ago. But in the left corner just outside the door was a small sign that read:
The sign itself probably dated from the 50s, maybe earlier - I don't know, I'm not a good judge of these things. But there it was.
I bet they sold a lot of 620 film. Maybe a whole display of Verichrome Pan. I peered inside, but couldn't see anything that would hint at what they used to sell. The place was fairly well gutted.
