Viola betonicifolia, commonly known as the arrowhead violet, showy violet or mountain violet, is a small perennial of the genus Viola, . It occurs from India and Pakistan in southern Asia throughout eastern Australia and Tasmania. It grows in shaded habitat in forests......I've been given a couple of these uncommon Native Violets in hope to propagate more for the seed bank and hopefully reintroduction to the Adelaide Hills. These were from around Mt Bold , but most of them now are now lost to weed invasion. So far I now have about 15 plants, and some seeds, but need a lot more. They are in great decline in the Adelaide Hills, be nice to get them back growing there again one day.
