After the rain, the sun emerged and as it began to set it coloured all the reflections in the puddles and wet areas. For me, flipping it added another level of interest.

I was intrigued by this novel effect when I flipped my original puddle reflection. To me, it looks like I'm wearing a knee-length skirt made of driveway gravel over dark, textured hightop boots as I step out onto the sky with breaking clouds.

Pothole (or kettle-hole) in the Rogue River. Oregon, USA.

This is [...] a term for a formation in rivers caused by a whirlpool eroding a hole into rock. The abrasion is mainly caused by the circular motion of small sediments such as small stones in the river. The interiors of potholes tend to be smooth and regular, unlike a plunge pool.
