The first of a series of SP shadows that I experimented with during our recent beach holiday. As most of you know, I love working with shadows.

Here the amber to chocolate-coloured (called a "tannin" color), slow moving water is the result of the decomposition of leaves that have fallen into the river.

The ripple patterns in the shallow, narrow, sandy river bed are formed by the surging ocean waves moving back and forth against the river as it tries to flow across the beach on its way to the sea. I then try to capture my shadow, cast by the late evening sun behind me, as it falls on this amazing, naturally textured background while simultaneously trying to maintain my balance and, of course, ignoring all the strange looks directed my way.:-))
