Foto tomada en los soportales junto a la entrada de la villa.
En esta foto quiero hacer referencia a mi primera foto con texturas, que data del 30 de Abril. En la cual mi amigo Rikki Nadir y quien me introdujo en ese mundillo de la textura, me avisaba que las texturas son adictivas. Pues comentar que llevo 7 fotos sin texturas(desde 3 de Julio), creo que queda totalmente demostrada mi desintoxicación de la adicción a las texturas. Pero no temais que pronto volveré con alguna.
El Burgo de Osma (el municipio se llama oficialmente El Burgo de Osma-Ciudad de Osma) es una localidad y también un municipio de la provincia de Soria. La Ciudad de Osma es el núcleo histórico altomedieval, mientras que El Burgo de Osma es la villa aledaña, declarada Villa de Interés Turístico en 1962 y Conjunto Histórico-Artístico en 1993. Es centro comarcal de servicios de la comarca de Tierras del Burgo.
La primitiva ciudad arévaca de Uxama tuvo su asentamiento en el Cerro Castro, a muy poca distancia de la actual población de El Burgo de Osma, y allí permaneció durante la dominación romana. De ambos períodos quedan apreciables restos arqueológicos que lo atestiguan; tanto en el cerro de Uxama como en el llano, en el actual núcleo de Osma.

In this image, I want to mention my first texturized photo dated 30 April. At the time, my friend Rikki Nadir warned me that the use of textures can be quite addictive. I would like to point out that, since 3rd July I have posted 7 consecutive non-texturized photos, which goes to prove that I have succeeded in completing my texture-detox process. But don't worry, I'll soon come back with one of those.
Burgo de Osma (the county is officially called El Burgo de Osma-Ciudad de Osma) is a city as well as a municipality in the province of Soria. The city of Osma is the historic nucleous of the late Middle Ages, while Burgo de Osma is the neighbouring village which was given the status of Tourist Site of Interest in 1962 and recognized as Historical and Artistic Site of Interest in 1993. The county is the regional centre for the area known as Tierras del Burgo.
The original Ibero-celtic city of Uxama was located on Cerro Castro, not too far from present-day El Burgo de Osma, and the settlement lasted all through Roman occupation. There are still archeological remains of both periods on the hill of Uxama as well as on the plains below where the city of Oxama is located today.

Es la primera foto que subo tomada con el gran angular que me ha dejado Carlos, una pena que no tenga flickr, pero esperemos que algún día se anime y comparta con todos nosotros su trabajo.
Foto tomada en los soportales de la casa de Oficios y Caballeros.
Aranjuez; La casa de oficios y caballeros, ocupa el lateral occidental de la plaza de la Mariblanca a la que abren sus bellos sopórtales. Su función era la del mantenimiento y administración del Real sitio y alojamientos de sequío, especiales en época de jornadas Reales.

Aranjuez; The house of trades and gentlemen, it occupies the western wings of the square of the Mariblanca for which they open your beautiful ones support them. Your function was that of the maintenance and administration of the Royal summer residence and housings of sequío, special in epoch of Royal days.

En esta ocasión, quisiera exponer una fotografía dedicada a esas personas mayores, en especial a todos aquellos que llegan al final de su camino.
En especial quiero recordar a mis abuelos, ahora que hace particularmente más o menos un año de mis últimas pérdidas.
Es una foto que tenia pensada desde hace tiempo, pero se me había olvidado... y al ver una de un gran amigo Rikki Nadir, con un motivo similar, decidí ponerme manos a la obra y prepararla.
Como todos, alguna vez llegaremos al final de nuestro camino(confiando en que la desgracia no lo tercie antes).

On this occasion I'd like to share a photograph dedicated to the elderly, especially to those that reach the end of the road.
I would specially like to remember my grandparents; it is now about a year that I lost one of them.
It is a photograph that I've had in mind for some time now, but I had forgotten... and when I saw a picture by a friend Rikki Nadir, with a similar theme, I decided to get to work and finally do this one.
Like everyone else, we will all come to the end of the road (trusting that misfortune doesn't hit first).

Imagen captada a pulso, en una de las galerías del Anfiteatro Romano de Itálica. Espero poder expresar la sensación que pudieron sentir los gladiadores en su momento.
El Anfiteatro de Itálica, fue construido en el Norte de la que fue la primera ciudad romana en Hispania, Itálica, situada en el actual término municipal de Santiponce (provincia de Sevilla), en Andalucía (España), que fue fundada en el año 206 A.D..
Se construyo en la época del emperador Adriano, aproximadamente entre los años 117-138 y fue uno de los mas grandes de todo el imperio romano.
Con una capacidad de 25.000 espectadores y unas medidas totales de 156 x 134 m., disponia de tres niveles de graderío. Bajo el nivel del antiguo suelo de madera del anfiteatro había un foso de servicio para los diferentes espectáculos de gladiadores, denominados munus gladiatorum y luchas contra fieras, llamadas venationes.
El graderío, cavea estaba dividido en tres secciones, la ima, media y summa cavea, separadas por unos pasillos anulares denominados praecinctiones. La primera, la ima cavea, disponía de 6 gradas, con 8 puertas de acceso, y estaba reservada a una clase dirigente. La segunda, la media cavea, estaba destinada a la población más humilde, tenía 12 gradas y 14 puertas de acceso. La summa cavea, cubierta por un toldo, estaba reservada solamente para albergar a niños y mujeres.
El anfiteatro contaba además con varias salas dedicadas al culto de Némesis y de Dea Caelestis.

Italica was the birthplace of Roman emperor Trajan. Hadrian was generous to his settled town, which he made a colonia; he added temples, including a Trajaneum venerating Trajan, and rebuilt public buildings. Italica’s amphitheater seated 25,000 spectators—half as many as the Flavian Amphitheatre in Rome— and was the third largest in the Roman Empire. The city's Roman population at the time is estimated to have been only 8000. The games and theatrical performances funded by the local aristocracy, who filled the positions of magistrate, were a means of establishing status: the size of the amphitheater shows that the local elite was maintaining status that extended far beyond Italica itself.
