Lemons, Oranges And A Lonely Apple Video by Daniel Arrhakis (2020)

Often people ask me how I do my compositions, well I will reveal in these series how I do some of them, starting from an initial photo.

In this case it all started with this week's theme for the group Recreating Masters on the work Untitled 1913 - Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso (1887–1918).

So I tried to make a still life composition with the fruits I had at the moment, in this case lemons and oranges, the apple added later was obtained from stock images.
As a certain degree of abstraction and color was intended, coloring were made with the help of digital color replacement tools but also using textures and layers techniques and complementing with blur.
Artificial textures and architectural elements were added through Art Collage and layers, but also parts of the original image, some with geometric cutouts.
At the end, digital painting techniques were used and a canvas texture was added to give some relief.

Scientists and Nature conservationists say that is the industry of trophy hunting that threatens vulnerable species across sub-Saharan Africa.

Only forty years ago, 200,000 lions roamed Africa. Since then, the population has plummeted to just over 20,000 – a 90 percent decrease. The International Union for Conservation of Nature has classified the lion as “Vulnerable” on its Red List.

But Also the Elephants , in this last case many people assume that elephants are poached in Africa and their ivory is sold to Asia – and that Europe is completely out of the picture. In fact, Europe is a hub for both the legal and illegal trade in ivory.

In two recent conferences, the international community called on all governments to shut down their domestic ivory markets. The EU has not complied with these demands and continues to undermine the global struggle to save the elephants.
