One of my first test shots with my new large format camera. Very nice to handle, not completely easy thought ,got to get used to it. Also one of the first negatives I processed myself. I might have overprocessed with 11min, since I found contradicting info talking about 7 min. The massive development chart says for the 1-29 dilution it should be 11min, though not for this format - not sure if that makes a big difference.

I abused the film quite a bit, gave it a lot of agitation during development since I was afraid it might not be covered too well in the Paterson tank with just 600 ml developer but turned out okay.

During scannin with the V500 (which gave me some trouble, still trying to figure pretty much everything about scanning) it got too much sharpening from the auto settings, got some gross details when enlarged. Scanned another sheet which looked better (without sharpening ) but still satisfying. I put the sheet right on the glass since there are no holders for the V500 and I have to do two scans to get the whole sheet and stitch then.

I'll go for some test shots with colour film, probably Ektar 100 since I got good results with it it in the light on the streets of Shanghai. I'm a bit hesitant though since there is no reliable lab to get stuff processed. For the test shots I figured I could at least screw it up myself, at least it didn't show any major leaks or flaws in the results.

This is the view from my South balcony, a small version of a 40MB scan from the lab with some basic processing, removed the green taint Ektar gave the picture. I removed some dust but there wasn't even that much of it. Even in that size the detail is quite enjoyable - there is some focus (?) problem at the top of the UFO though, not sure if unintended tilt or something like that.

I have been there before. Had to come back with the big one though. It seems somethings not perfectly aligned here. I think I didn't set up the camera exactly perpedicular towards the wall. Hard to tell since the ground glass was super dim. On the screen it seems though that verticals are straight and the upper part of the wall is horizontal - just the lower part is weird, might have been the twist in perspective.

Most elements in this one seem fine to me. No aparent problems with film flatness, focus, camera shake etc. The grain in the darker parts of the sky worry me a bit though. Didn't notice Ektar 100 behaving like this before - or could it rather be digital noise from the scanner the lab used...?
