I really hate ALL graffiti but it is everywhere I go. This was on a side street we started to walk on when we arrived in Maribor.
The difference between art and graffiti is that art is done on property with the permission of the property owner. Art is a creative and productive form of expression. Graffiti is a CRIME. Graffiti may also cause local property values to decrease and can result in a heightened fear of crime in the community.
Maribor is the second most important centre and the second largest city of Slovenia. It has about 114.000 inhabitants who live embraced in its wine growing hills and the Mariborsko Pohorje mountain. Located near the Slovenian border with Austria, beside the Drava River.

The old grape vine is the most significant world record that Maribor holds. It is the pride of the city and Slovenia. Stara trta (in Slovenian) is the oldest living example of a noble vine on our planet. It was planted more than 400 years ago on the left bank of river Drava and has survived a number of revolutions and two world wars.
The most famous people to have received a bottle of its wine from its grapes are Pope John Paul II., the Japanese Emperor Akihito and American President Clinton.

Old Bridge (Drava Bridge), built between the years 1906 and 1912, was one of the most beautiful bridges in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It crosses over the the Drava River and is 270 metres (890 ft) long.

After seeing the grape vine and bridge we walked up this street to the main square. As you can probably tell it was damp and misty.
