The lighthouse was built and lit in 1902. The building is a red and white vertically striped octagonal timber tower, 16.2 meters (53ft) high. Henry Island has been privately owned since 1992. It is located 6 kilometers (3.72mi) off shore.
Light characteristic: Flashing White every 4 seconds, visible for 6 nautical miles. Focal Plane Height: 64 meters (210ft).
It is possible to take a tour to the island in the summer months.

This finishes my trip to Cape Breton and I do not know when I will get out to take more pictures. It depends on the weather, I do not get pleasure freezing to get pictures. I do not want to post pictures from the past, I try to always look to the future and what tomorrow brings.
I have a trip to South Africa planned and paid for but that is on hold, looking at other places that I may get to go to before then but it all depends on the virus.
I will be back but do not know when....................
