There was a certain meadowlark at the Everglades that was more than accommodating for Kevan, Will and myself. I believe Lynn was catching up on her sleep. I had longed for a shot with a meadowlark and boy was I grateful for the "hour" this poser provided for all of us!
Holy smokes, did I get lucky! I was trolling along in Viera, when I spotted two caracaras perched on posts. Shortly after this snap a hawk flew in to harass the caracaras but they flew up to a pine tree and the hawk flew away.
Yesterday as dusk approached a bittern flew over my head and quickly disappeared into the reeds. I tried to track the bird as I watched the reeds move, but to no avail. Soon there were three other bitterns that flew into the same spot to roost for the evening. However, this morning I was surely surprised when I spotted this bittern.
