This is a life-bird for me. Here he is in full breeding colors. He was well groomed after a bath. Shortly after he finished a female arrived. He was lookin very nice!

This guy is in breeding plumage. He also was taking his Sunday bath!
They would often be seen digging in the sand for horseshoe crab eggs. They would defend their hole and chase away anyone that got too close.
