The same heat warning continues today, 29 June 2021.
Heat Warning: issued at 21:21 Sunday 27 June 2021.
A prolonged, dangerous, and historic heat wave will persist through this week. Afternoon high temperatures will climb to the mid 30's tomorrow, and will peak near 40 degrees Celsius in some regions by midweek. The heat wave will continue into early next week. Little to no reprieve from the heat is expected, as overnight lows will remain between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius." From the Weather Network.
After going for a drive for a few hours yesterday, in 35C heat, I needed to stay home today. So thankful for my car's air-conditioning. After my drive, I called in at the grocery store not only for food, but also to be in cold air for a short while. This evening, around 9:30 pm, the temperature upstairs in my bedroom and my computer room is 30C! I wasn't going to edit and post any photos today, as I can barely use the keyboard in this heat, but then changed my mind,
These photos are from yesterday's drive. Pretty much just rather aimless driving, just to stay cool, However, I did see a few things to photograph. Only one, short new road this time, but I was so happy to discover that I could see a particular old barn, that is quite unique and beautifully kept, from the opposite side.

Another five photos from my archives. I am adding the description that I wrote on a previously posted photo taken on the same outing. I had really hoped that I would be able to finally go for a drive out of the city today. However, the maintenance light came on for an oil change yesterday, after I had been for physio, and I have to wait a week for the earliest appointment. So, no new photos. I've only been out on one drive since 13 July!
