Tuesday, 23 February 2021: our temperature is -3C (windchill -8C) at 11:00 am. Sunrise is at 7:33 am, and sunset is at 6:06 pm. Overcast this morning. Had a bit more snow last night, with more in the forecast for this week.

Yesterday, 22 February 2021, the sun was shining, so I made the most of it and drove SE of the city for a few hours. My main destination was the Saskatoon Farm, which is now able to open to the public every day, with all the necessary COVID precautions being taken. I think the last time I visited was on 7 December 2020, just before the Farm had to temporarily close down for a few weeks. It felt so good to be back there again, and I enjoyed a nice meal and took a few photos.

From the Farm, I headed further south to drive a few of the backroads. The gravel roads were not pleasant to drive on, as they were wet and muddy, and sometimes covered in snow. My white car is now a dirty brown.

No birds other than Magpies and House Sparrows, but I was happy to see a few familiar old barns. So often, I get a dull, overcast sky, so it made a nice change to have blue sky and white clouds.

It actually rained briefly earlier this evening. Snow is forecast to follow tonight and tomorrow. Almost March, and spring should be just a few weeks away.
