Wednesday, 3 February 2021: our temperature is -15C (windchill -21C) shortly before noon. Sunrise is at 8:10 am, and sunset is at 5:30 pm. Yay, daylight now lasts till 5:30 pm! We are still under a Snowfall Warning, after getting maybe 5" of fresh snow overnight. More snow expected for the next three days.

This morning, 2 February 2021, I went for a short walk at Mallard Point, in Fish Creek Park. The weather was cold, overcast and definitely not good for taking photos. Posting this one shot just as a record of having gone for a walk, as walks are pretty rare these days. I am so tired of winter; of having snow on the ground for just over four months; of having to struggle into four layers of clothing before trying to get into my old winter jacket, with a very painful shoulder; of needing to get ice grabbers onto my winter boots. The cold weather, plus wearing a mask, makes my viewfinder and lens either fog up or ice over. The thought of spring is just wonderful!

At least I got some fresh air and, best of all, a chance to see a few masked friends, even at a safe distance. Now we are under a Snowfall Warning, so I will be hibernating for the next few days.
Stay safe and stay well, everyone!
