Wednesday, 9 December 2020: our temperature at 11:00 am is PLUS 1C (windchill MINUS 1C). Sunrise is at 8:28 am and sunset is at 4:29 pm. 'Winter' returned overnight, after a number of beautifully mild days, bringing more snow and colder temperatures.

For some reason, this is the first photo I have posted from 3 June 2020. My photos show that I visited the Saskatoon Farm first and then did a drive SW of the city, looking for Mountain Bluebirds, Eastern Kingbirds and other species.

The Saskatoon Farm is an interesting place that is maybe a 20-minute drive SE from the southern edge of Calgary. You can collect your own Saskatoon berries in season, look around their outside green houses, and their inside gift shop full of unusual things, and buy special baking, jams, teas and so on. They also have a restaurant that offers great food.
