As a child I once dreamt I could fly and the dream was so realistic that for a while I really believed I was able to fly. And I still wish I was able to join the birds up there in the sky.

Another hairflip photo even though I sort of promised myself to do something conceptual, but for that kind of photo you need so much time and if the concept fails it's hard to find time to shoot something else. I guess this is why I keep returning to rather simple photos.

I feel like I'm in such a shift of identity as an artist. Which, oh who would have thought, brings up all the fears.

Dealing with all those doubts, I suddenly felt inspired for my next newsletter topic - I decided it will exactly on that. Fear as a part of the creative process.

While we all know by now that it's best to #stayhome, this is also a time where we become aware how much our mind is our home, too. Take care of it like a home. Make yourself comfortable. Invite the good stuff in. Get rid of what no longer serves you. Right now is the perfect time for a little maintenance - take time to go inside, to close your eyes, to listen closely. How do you take care of your home? 💛

I wanted to take a break from the photography world this year, just to try to find my own creativity and will to create again. But even without being on Flickr and following other photographers on Facebook I didn't really pick up my camera again.
I took some photos during my time in Thailand, but it was simply documenting memories. I feel like it's been forever since I created actual art. Maybe I just have to give it time and see what happens. I'll try to slowly come back to social media without letting it influence my life too much. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who still sticks around. <3

Let's get weird 👽👽👽 and be a circle, without beginning, without end. After already uploading this and then instantly deleting it again a while ago (classic artist insecurity), I decided to simply embrace the weirdness and be happy with this creation ❣ reminder to self (and everyone else who needs it): everything around you is your mirror. How you see life is how it comes back to you, the energy you give is the energy you receive.
