Just back from a week in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not one for gambling I spent my days finding the nature around the area. I was so excited to see this Verdin, a lifer for me. Such a pretty little bird. Glad to be home for awhile. Will catch up with everyone as fast as I can.

Just finished shoveling snow and needed another happy spring felt shot. I actually took this last week in Las Vegas the same day as previous Verdin. The light and weather were beautiful that day.
Not sure what kind of hummingbird this is. Anybody know? I think it is a Costa's Hummingbird but not sure. Taken in Henderson Bird Preserve, Las Vegas Nevada. Jan 28.

Never would I have thought I would see Desert Bighorn Sheep around Las Vegas. Then I found this little guy staring down at me. I was at the Valley of Fire State Park when I found him and his mother.

Closest I have ever been to a harrier. There were 3 of them at the Henderson Bird Preserve in Nevada. He kept flying by looking for dinner.
