Slugs were the first stencil work I recall seeing in Basingstoke. They started appearing around 2005 and spread rapidly around all across the town.
There were two sizes large like this one, and small. This is the only large one I know of that's survived the council's art eradication process. If anyone knows of any more still around do let me know.

Some time after the black slugs came the black cats.
