Taken for 'Saturday Self Challenge': "New Year Resolution"
Well, I've never done a New Year resolution, this is as close as I get, I've been thinking I should try to do more 'street' and people photography.
I saw the
TLOP opportunity of the cola bottle on post and helmet on the car, but the chap in the car was watching me. Normally I'd probably have put the phone down and walked on. But I stayed . . . by the time the phone had thought about it, decided what to focus on, and got around to actually taking the image the chap was getting out the car and heading for me, "what are you photographing?" he shouts, me "the bottle", him "yeah, I hate it when people leave their rubbish laying around too", not what I was expecting.
Moments later a rough, dangerous and angry looking guy comes up behind me "OI! WHAT YOU PHO-O-GRAFIN?", me "the bottle", which seemed to satisfy him, and he walked off.
So that was my 2019 start with people and 'street', maybe I'll extend the 'resolution' to getting myself a decent manual focus compact, any recommendations . . . . ?
