Taken for 'Saturday Self Challenge' :"Bees"

Bit of an 'autofocus roulette' this week. Would normally have used the DSLR for this type of shot, but decided to don the hair shirt and use the compact. It goes like this: see a bee, press the shutter button, the lens whirs in and out as the camera decides what to focus on, makes up its mind and click, but the bee's long since left for another flower. Try again, click, but the AF decided I wanted the lavender in focus, not the bee. Try again, and again, and again. 40 of 50 shots later come back in and look at the images, of which one is usable, so here it is.

Well it was an interesting exercise.

Taken for Saturday Self Challenge': "Tunnels".

Having been laid low by a nasty bout of food poisoning I've been unable to leave the house all week, so all my ideas for photographing local tunnels had to be scrapped. Instead here's Milo in his cat tunnel, enticed in by cat treats :-)
