This is a picture of the Town House in Aberdeen. It is a very impressive building and it looked good in the afternoon sun. Aberdeen Town House holds the City's civic records and also a mace presented by John F Hall in 1958.

Recently I took a walk by Dores and then through the woods, the plan was to walk to Aldourie. It was grey and cloudy and this was new territory for me.

Loch Ness was very dark and moody. This picture was taken at 11am and the forecast was for the wind to pick up later. I was setting out on a walk to Aldourie and back.

This impressive war memorial is very central to Ballater. It looked like it had recently been refurbished it was so clean and sharp looking. The memorial simply says "The names of the men of this district who died that we might live" 1914 - 1918 and 1939 - 1945".

Crossing the final bridge back into Ballater the River Dee looked very chilly in the evening light.
