This is the first time I have ever seen a Kingfisher! Unfortunately it was overcast, wet and windy so not the best conditions for photography. I had to take this shot at ISO 1600!

To make matters worse the bird kept its distance from me so this is as good as I could get! I am still very happy with my first Kingfisher shot :-)

This was my 3rd day of photographing the Kingfisher and the conditions were pretty good. He (or she) kept his distance for most of the time but just before I left he came and perched quite close allowing me to get this detailed shot.

This is a better attempt at photographing the Kingfisher (after forgetting my memory card when the conditions were perfect!).

The lighting was still not the best but much better than my first attempt. This little guy is appearing daily at the moment so I will persevere!
