My wife recently took part in the Bupa Great Womens Run in Sunderland, England. I was the photographer and managed to get some shots of the elite women leaders too. The Biritish hopeful for the Beijing Olympics, Liz Yelling, is wearing bib number 2 and finished 3rd. Get Wami (bib 1) came first followed by Nadia Ejjafini (bib 3).

This was my first attempt at shooting any sports activity and I feel that my Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro lens worked very well once I set the focus limiter!

I recently went to one of the local bird hides to take some photos but when I got there I found out that it has been abandoned. So I went in search for a different type of photo to my usual and this was one of my attempts. A beautiful field of crop with a single red flower growing in the middle. I managed to move around and get an old building for background scenery too.
