This little robin looks like he ate too much turkey at christmas, in fact he looks like a round christmas pudding! This was photographed at Clara Vale bird hide in the Gateshead, NE England.

This small bird is a great example of a blue tit. Sat nicely on the edge of a feeding table, he looked up just in time for a photo :o)

A grey squirrel running wild at Thornley Woodlands bird hide. This little bundle of mischief was scaring away the birds and eating the seeds. I didnt complain too much as he was quite photogenic. I like the detail on his tail - the indivdual hairs of his fur have shown up quite well.

This is the last of my photos of robins for the time being. I seem to have taken a few seeing that the last 4 photos in my stream have been of these great little birds. This one was captured using my flash - I am practicing using this to get a little more light in the dull British weather. Its not as easy as I thought to get a natural looking image though...
