We just returned from the adventure of a life time - 11 days on an icebreaker in the Arctic area of Svalbard, Norway. Our expedition was very fortunate to see different 12 bears. Each encounter was heart stopping. When this bear stood at the edge of the ice and stared right at us, I was very glad to be on the ship and not on the ice near him.
