For me seeing the Red-throated Loons in full breeding plumage was a highlight of our Alaska trip. Early one morning while we were in Nome, Don and I took a walk out to the edge of the Bering Sea. To our delight a number of Loons were pair dancing on the water. We only saw this behavior on one morning. I count myself very lucky to have seen it. |
