NGC 3184 is a spiral galaxy found in the constellation Ursa Major, it is about 40 million light-years away from Earth. The last time I imaged this galaxy was back in 2016 when Supernova SN 2016bkv erupted inside one of the galaxies arms.

Thank you for allowing me to indulge with promoting a cause, as you know is very close to our hearts. All the images of plants are from the garden and spotted as I walk round.

I do want to take you back to the redesign and construction work I am doing during our isolation in the lockdown, and this is the recently completed gravel pathway cutting through our 'cottage garden'.

Through the camellia - which incidentally has still not flowered - the pathway is flanked on the right by more camellia's and Magnolia's. We also have Salvia and self seeded foxgloves. I have even planted a gorse bush here - motivated by the flickr group so I can join in, without the need to travel to the coast. On the left, we have a larger bed with an assortment of typical cottage garden flowers like lupin, delphinium, red hot poker, daisies, lilies, sedum, osteospermum and many others. pictures will follow as they begin to flower.

This path turns left at the end and runs behind the cottage garden and in front of the evergreen border.

Do you have any gardening updates from your garden, or terrace, window box or even pot plants. Let me know how you are getting on with your own lockdown :-))

Wold Autism Awareness Week

Autistic people have difficulties with interpreting both verbal and non-verbal language like gestures or tone of voice. Many have a very literal understanding of language, and think people always mean exactly what they say.

They may find it difficult to use or understand, facial expressions, tone of voice, or jokes and sarcasm.

Some may not speak, or have limited speech. They will often understand more of what other people say to them than they are able to express, yet may struggle with vagueness or abstract concepts.

Some autistic people benefit from using, or prefer to use, alternative means of communication, such as sign language or visual symbols.
Some are able to communicate very effectively without speech.
