Psychedelic Saturday. Oak branches reflecting in a lawn globe. While driving back from shooting the oaks in the fog, I saw the colors in the lawn globes. Had to pull over and make a few photographs. These colors are not manipulated. It's just how the light was reflecting/refracting off the globe, creating a rainbow effect. The texture is from water droplets and humidity on the globe. It may seem out of focus, but actually it is heat distortion. We photographers typically do our best to avoid it, but when you are shooting an active volcano, you just have to embrace it. In this case, it adds a bit of an impressionist effect. Geldingadalir, Iceland, April 2021
