Putting kajal (or kohl) black makeup around a baby's eyes is a common tradition across India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Some parents think the eyeliner protects the eyes or improves sight. The black point on the side of his forehead is another symbole but is usually worn on forehead center.

Most of people visiting Humayun tomb, a great moghol architecture necropole, are indian tourists. A familly was wondering in the persian garden close to Isa Khan Niyazi's tomb, one of the many ones of the complex. They easily let me make some portrait as usual in India.

A group of indian girls all dressed traditionaly in colorfull saris are visiting the tomb. Later they would stay in the persian garden to play a local game.

Humayan's tomb was built one century before the Taj Mahal which would become the Mughal architecture climax in the 17th century. The Mughal Empire was a muslim dynasty with turco-mongol origins but with significant Indian Rajput and Persian ancestry through marriage alliances. This melt can easily be recognized in the architecture.
