Circumstances:
I reached a small city in south of Nairobi and intended to explore the bush, walking on my own. Eventually a local friend from Nairobi warned me of the risk of getting lost since Maasai villages (called 'Manyatta') are pretty hidden from vegetation. Thus I was introduced to a Maasai guy who took me by motorbike to his village, afar in the bush. I spent there a few days before leaving for Tanzania.

There is no window on the Maasai hut (called 'Inkajijik'), so the inside is pretty dark and the air keeps fresh.
Circumstances:

Here is the sheep enclosure in the center of the Manyatta (Maasai Village). Another fence encloses the village itself.

In bush villages Maasai mainly dress with cotton sheets (Shúkà in Maasai language) with different colors. I saw pink ones on different men. A great variety of different colors were used. Maasai people have been making clothes with cotton only since 1960's.
