World Tour 2013 - 2014 - day 267

My goal being traveling the old way, without any plane, I decided to leave Asia to Africa by boat. For that I embarked in Port Klang, Malaysia, on a freighter boat from en french company, CMA-CGM. The vessel was 350m long, was coming from Shanghai and bound to go to Italia by Suez canal. I aimed to leave at Djibouti but since this stop was not possible I would leave at Port-Said, Egypt, just at the end of Suez Canal.

Roughly twice a week the captain organized some little parties for the sense of community.

World Tour - Day 242

My World Tour was supposed to drive me from South India to Djibouti by bot since I tried to travel without taking the plane. I wanted to do it by freighter boat, nevertheless embarking in India is strictly forbidden so I decided to go by plane in Malaysia from where I could embark and cross Indian Ocean toward Djibouti. Since this boat would be cruising off the South Indian coast the result would be according to my initial project. Since I had almost one month before embarking date it was the opportunity for me to visit Burma for 2 weeks. This journey was touristic since it is still forbidden there for inhabitant to welcome somme fellow travelers so I could not go out of the track. But the number of visitors is still low and there is nothing to compare to Thailand. Thus sticking to the touristic way is still very picturesque.

Bagan is a must see on a touristic tour. Seeing this morning panorama require to climb a specific temple of the Bagan 400 temples set since mod of them have closed stairs. We got their by bicycle with one of my friends who has been in the place for 1 week but we still got lost and could join the right temple at the last moment. Thus their was a big set of tourists holding themselves on the main tower. In a few years their will be not enough place at all for everyone to sit o the roof if the local authorities do not open any other temple roof.

World Tour 2013 - 2014 - day 208

After visiting Punjab and Rajasthan I continued southward to the next province of Gujarat, homeland of Mahatma Gandhi. In this less touristic area I decided to visit countryside by myself around Budj city. Since some villages were subject of small organized tour I decided to avoid it and took a bus almost randomly looking for more genuine encounter. I ended walking alone in the land and eventually met a guy who took me by motorbike in his village. There I met very nice and welcoming family.
The afternoon is relatively calm on the road but at the morning numerous women are carrying water of grass to the villages. Grass is for animals. People are not in a hurry and all know each other so I could do this friendly pictures very easily.

This little girl was looking at me on the path and did not move so I could make a view pics but I did nt notice she was crying.

Bhaktapur is among the main touristic places around Katmandu and it worths it.

I arrived in Nepal at the monsoon time so every day 3 hours of heavy rain occurred. It just started at this moment this day and we all got under the protection of temples. Those little girls are protecting the rain under the roof of the big bell. The previous photo shows the other angle of it.
