Sarrail Ridge is a 11.3-kilometer trail located near Kananaskis, Alberta. It is rated as difficult. The trail was closed quite often due to bears activities. I was told there were three bears in that region.
It was a sunny day, first 1/3 moderate, 2/3 easy walk along Lake Rawson, final third very difficult - Steep incline on dusty path, had to stop very often to have a rest, poles helped a lot while climbing the mountain. There was a very steep way, about 75 degrees, had to hold the rope to climb up...
This final third is both physically and mentally challenging but entirely worth it for the view at the ridge! The view on top of the ridge was spectacular! Total 7 hours hiking and climbing.
Huge thanks all for the visiting, faves and kind comments! 🙏💕
I am still traveling at Rocky Mountains now, no cell signal at most places...
I appreciated all your stopping by. I will reply you when I come back home! 🙏
Sunset light above the immense dunes of the Namib Desert. Not only did we see dunes and more dunes, we also flew over dry rivers since the rainy season had not yet begun, lakes and areas where gazelles, oryx and many other animals move in search of water when the sun begins to set.
