As luck would have it I spotted some mist towards Stirling on Saturday morning as I headed out for a local sunrise. As I approached there was a huge wall of fog and I could not see much. I climbed a local hill and just as I got to the vantage point the fog broke as the wind picked up. The hill fog over the Ochills was breathtaking!

The Ebro Delta is one of the wetlands in Spain where you can find numerous birds, dunes, etc. One of the attractive reasons are the boats and others, abandoned in the still water, inviting us to enjoy moments like this, where the lights of the sunset and the beauty of the clouds are shown with colors and lights in all their splendor.

The Eurasian blue tit (cyanistes caeruleus) is a small passerine bird in the tit family, Paridae. It is easily recognisable by its blue and yellow plumage and small size. The Eurasian blue tit prefers insects and spiders for its diet. Outside the breeding season, they also eat seeds and other vegetable-based foods. The birds are famed for their acrobatic skills, as they can hold on to the outermost branches of trees and shrubs and hang upside down when looking for food.

There are times when I can't believe I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Arches like this seem like they're pulled straight out of Moab in Utah.

Having these immense sandstone structures on an icy beach with a light dusting of snow is just the icing on the cake.

I had a nightmare of a time capturing this shot without featuring my bulbous shadow in the centre of the frame.

I played the game of hitting the shutter with a 10" timer to then perform the 'sprint of shadow removal'.

I did this several times and felt fairly smug that I'd managed to capture the shot without my own shadow until I got the images home and saw them full screen.

My sprinting may have removed my own shadow, but the shadow of my camera and tripod was ever-present.

Some quick spot-removal brushwork took care of that and I'm pretty happy with the finished result.

Expect to see a video from this adventure hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for reading
Gavin
