One of hundreds of abandoned homesteads when settlers "lost" water rights to the land. One hundred years ago this was productive green farmland reclaimed from the desert. Ironically the desert is now slowly reclaiming it back. Unfortunately the history of the West has been the story of one continuous land grab after another
