A Great Crested Flycatcher flew onto this branch with a small snail, which was subsequently delivered to its nestlings.

(I've been going through my Great Crested Flycatcher photos over the last few weeks, so I'll be posting more of these than I might otherwise do at this time of year.)

Actually, those are the scales from the wings of the moth as it struggles to free itself from the Great Crested Flycatcher's beak (it didn't succeed).
