For Macro Mondays theme 'Dutch Angle'.
Trying out this technique for the first time proved trickier than I had anticipated - the feather was set up so the end portion was more or less horizontal in order to place the water droplet, so when the camera was tilted the water droplet would look to be in an impossible position. This took numerous attempts as the droplet kept rolling off or falling through the tiny delicate feather - highly frustrating as the feather was curved in its cross-section. But eventually I finally got a water droplet to balance in such a way that I got a pleasing refraction effect inside the droplet. This was shot as a focus stack of 24 images.
No feathers were harmed in the making of this photograph, but my neck got very sore...
