Csx Railroad Abt bascule bridge across the Saginaw River at Saginaw Michigan built in the 1940's doesnt open any longer still in operation by trains. The span is 160 foot single track.

Erie Railroad Strauss type Heel Trunnion bascule bridge across the Cuyahoga River at Cleveland Ohio double track 180 ft span. Built in 1911 fabricated by the Pennsylvania Steel Company and destroyed in 1985 the span has a counterweight above the track and is controlled by operating towers on both side ends of the span. A similar Strauss type with two towers both sides is in New Jersey.
