I brought this flower indoors to photograph because it was extremely hot outside when I wanted to photograph it.

This model boat reminds me a lot of a wooden commercial fishing boat that I was a part owner of back in the 1980's. We used to go out from San Diego harbor and go north along the California coast and dive commercially for sea urchins. We also chartered the boat out to a movie company and served as the crew on it when it was in Catalina Island harbor filming a movie with Christopher Plummer as the star.

Lighting stuff: I placed it on a piece of black Perspex and then lit the boat using a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box positioned at camera left and just out of the frame. Fill light is from a hand meld mirror at camera right. The flash and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.
