Yesterday a high of 68* and just gorgeous. Today 19* and ice, snow and winds. That's our northern Michigan.

It was so cold this day out shooting and it fascinated me that some lady you can see her in black walked out as far as she could on the slippery walk and took some pictures of the lighthouse. The lady in black!

Sunday afternoon my friend called me and said they were going back out on the tug to help getting the barge out of the slip and heading north. The thrusters are broke on the barge and that’s why the tug is helping them till it’s fixed. Well I got down to the lake, and I had no idea the wind and the waves were blowing like this. When the tug got past the lighthouse out on Lake Michigan, I thought for sure it was going to sink to the bottom. But they made it over. Got the barge out of the slip and turned north and came back into the harbor. I am so glad my husband got to go out on a day that Lake Michigan was flat.

92* yesterday and a most miserable heat day. Beach was nearly empty of the children and mainly older people and they were just standing in Lake Michigan to keep cool. Hard to believe in a few months this will be all snow and the Lake accumulating and making ice.
