Sometimes when I'm watching a slide show of my art, I try to imagine how it would feel to the touch. Some parts might seem smooth, like a marble floor. Other areas might feel more like freshly mown lawn, etc. This seems to help the art look more 3 dimensional.
The tools of Photoshop were used to repeatedly mirror portions of many photographs to create the kaleidoscopic or fractal-like effect. Viewing the same image at different sizes will often enhance different aspects of the figures, (the fractal like effect).
If you look closely you might see faces or symbols. Perhaps the brain and visual system automatically tries to make sense out of the abstract patterns.

I particularly like the bubbles part, if you zoom in it looks like a tiled floor. Sometimes when I'm watching a slide show of my art, I try to imagine how it would feel to the touch.
