This image is on display at Spiral Cafe for the month of April. The show is called Curves because the outlines of each image are formed from quarter and half round curve pieces. The coloured parts can look a bit intense and this is softened by the symmetry of the outer shapes.The tools of Photoshop were used to repeatedly mirror portions of many photographs to create the kaleidoscopic or fractal-like effect. Photographic enlargements were then glued to custom frames that I designed and made myself. If you look closely you might see faces or symbols. Perhaps the brain and visual system automatically tries to make sense out of the abstract patterns. I hope you enjoy the show.
