Given the vast number of art pieces on display at the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes exhibition, I think the art gallery needs to recruit a few more guards.

First posed by mathematician Victor Klee in 1973, the art gallery problem is a study of visibility in computational geometry. It sets to find out the minimum number of guards needed to guard every point in an art gallery.

The Artist by Paul Trefry. Mixed media. Wynne Prize finalist.

Tattoos can either attract or repel the viewer. They provoke us to think and ask the question: 'what goes on inside a person's mind to cover their body with their life story, exposed for all to see?' Tattoos allow you to express your personality, without having to say a thing, Paul Trefry, 2017.

That which provides safety and the possibility of growth, that which you can put your trust in by Juz Kitson. Jingdezhen porcelain, Southern ice porcelain, terracotta clay, paraffin wax, resin, silk thread, merino wool, fox and rabbit pelt, Tibetan gazelle horns, teeth, echidna quills, bodhi seeds, marine ply and treated pine. Wynne Prize finalist.

The juxtaposition of inanimate materials is suggestive of the cycle of life. It also creates the sense that the work is alive, in an ironic way, as all living things decay, Juz Kitson, 2017.
