original bar and pool hall was closed in the 1960's, then resurrected by the McMenamin brothers in the 1990's. buried in the basement were original Tiffany lamps from the late 1800's worth $1.5 million, yes that is million and 20 original Brunswick pool tables. cost to purchase by McMenamins approximately $70,000. but it took a bundle to restore. bar, restaurant, pool hall, theater, and small hotel. the original pot belly stove still pumps out wood heat to keep it warm on cold days.
