College Fjord. We had a quiet day making out way to College Fjord. So many more beautiful glaciers to see. We went down to a lower deck of the boat where we could go from side to side seeing different aspects of the scenery.

I have been having so much pain from my surgery on my back. I was going well and everyone was amazed at how I was progressing, but the pain came back so bad a few weeks ago. I had a CT scan and saw the surgeon and it was found that there was a small crack near one of the cages that had been put in. I have been told that it will heal by itself but could take a while. I have been looking at everyone's photos but can't sit at the computer for long.

It was my birthday last week and I spotted this bunch of pretty Gerbera flowers as I walked out of a local shopping centre. I love the yellow and red one, so I decided to buy some as a pressie for myself so I could take some photos..

Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Viewpoints include Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station and architect Mary Colter’s Lookout Studio and her Desert View Watchtower. Lipan Point, with wide views of the canyon and Colorado River, is a popular, especially at sunrise and sunset.

I am struggling with my back at the moment and can't sit at the computer for too long. I saw the surgeon on the 31st January and mentioned that I was having more back pain now than just after surgery. He told me that the metal cages he put in seemed to be in the right place but he had discovered from the CT that I had before seeing him, that there is a crack in one of the vertebrae near one of the cages which is probably causing more pain. He said it will heal itself, but the pain has been bad for the last week or so, so another CT was ordered. I had it on Friday so hopefully it will show why the pain seems to be getting worse.

Old Faithful is a cone geyser in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, United States. It was named in 1870 during the Washburn–Langford–Doane Expedition and was the first geyser in the park to be named. It is a highly predictable geothermal feature and has erupted every 44 minutes to two hours since 2000.The geyser and the nearby Old Faithful Inn are part of the Old Faithful Historic District.

We were lucky to find a dry spot on the verandah of the information centre. It was raining quite heavily at times and we had to wait for quite a while for it to erupt.
