Originally dating back to 1647, the third and present Kelham Hall is considered a masterpiece of high Victorian Gothic architecture, entirely asymmetrical, with a gloriously irregular skyline and crowning 'grandiloquent' towers dating back to 1863. It became a Grade I Listed Building on 13 June 1973. In 1974, Kelham Hall became the head office of Newark and Sherwood District Council. It then changed hands again in 2014 to Kelham Hall Ltd, who run the site as a tourist attraction, spa, luxury hotel, function rooms and wedding venue. The Hall provides a stunning backdrop for weddings, events and family days out.
Newark and Sherwood District Council moved to their all new purpose built head office on 25 September 2017.

One Rabbit had just scampered off while another darted into the burrow. Each burrow divides in two. I waited a while but they didn't appear.
