I spent the Labor Day weekend with some friends and family up at Lake Tahoe for some much needed R&R. This was my first time going to the Lake in the summer time and what a treat that was!
I have seen many fantastic shots of Bonsai Rock and have wanted to get by there for quite some time now. Well last Sunday I finally made it, and though the weather was absolutely beautiful, from a photographers stand point, it was less than ideal.
The only time we had to get out there was in the middle of the afternoon so the sun was right overhead, and there were no clouds in the sky at all. Then to top it off there were at least 20 people sprawled out all over the rocks sunning themselves!
I really wanted a wider view but I new there was no way I was going to be able to clone out that many people. As it was I had to time the shot just right to avoid the kids that were climbing the rock and jumping off!
I definitely want to give this one another try, hopefully with some nice color in the sky and a lot less people!
