This summer of 2021 Palouse takes my breath away. I could stay here watching eternity unfold layer upon layer. ‘Grow, keep growing’ my inner voice tells me.

It all began innocent and shy
Sun and water
Light, in abundance he brought her
Unstoppable words and thoughts
He whispered her name
Next to love, convinced
That they were the same

Tossing and turning
Longing for the stars
