Cherry blossoms through the lens of early morning sunlight on the first day of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. We're only a couple of days before peak bloom.
A side note...there were almost zero people at the Tidal Basin this morning before sunrise, and parking was plentiful. When I left just an hour later, it looked like it was almost impossible to find street parking anywhere near the Tidal Basin.
