Spring foliage is starting to obscure a bald eagle nest on the GW Parkway near Morningside Lane in Alexandria (Fairfax Co.). Though the nest tree is less than 50 feet from the Mt. Vernon Trail, the canopy makes it easy to miss during the warm weather months.

The eagles' nest on the parkway near Morningside Lane doesn't offer a completely clear view of the sky above, which gets a lot worse when foliage fills in the gaps. Though the nest tree is less than 100 feet from the Mt. Vernon Trail and the parkway, few people notice that it's there.
