* At the end of the XIXe century, Baron Hausmann was at the origin of an intermediate semi-circular axis in the south of Paris.
The main purpose was to open up and connect the XVe, XIVe and XIIIe districts.
From west to east : Convention, Vouillé, Alésia, Tolbiac streets, for a length of 8 kilometers.
In fact, from Mirabeau bridge to Tolbiac bridge.
These four streets are almost identical: 20 meters wide, and trees all along. A very nice walk.

Hope that the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, will leave intact this beautiful set of streets. It's not won...
Anne Hidalgo will remain sadly famous, for having disfigured a large number of streets, adding unnecessary bike paths. Just to empty Paris of its cars by creating many traffic jams.
